On the airwaves of Bip Radio, the former commissioner to the ECOWAS answered the question that many observers are asking. Asked about this, he says:
Yes. I have them, because my God has them. I told you I have everything I need to be a candidate. You’ll have the chance to see that.

When the journalist insisted on knowing if he is counting on God to get the endorsements, the political actor affirms that he does nothing in his life without God. To believe him, the priority today is not the sponsorship but the political vision he carries and wishes to share with the Beninese people. The sponsorship will come after.

Former candidate for the 2016 presidential election, Daniel Edah officially announced his candidacy for 2026 on May 29, focusing his speech on the values of peace, unity, and development.

He recalled his political commitment that began in 2014, while reaffirming his intention to run for the highest office not for personal interests, but to serve the Nation. “I am not a candidate for personal power. I want to serve,” he insisted.

His political project is based on an economic model firmly oriented towards local production and transformation. Among other things, he proposes the creation of industrial units in each municipality in order to stimulate the local economy, promote the creation of jobs for young people, and strengthen the resilience of the territories.

According to him, territorial-scale industrialisation is the key to making Benin a prosperous, stable country that is better integrated into regional economic dynamics.
