Benin: Major decisions from the council of ministers this Wednesday, July 2, 2025
The Council of Ministers met this Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in the presence of the government members. The following decisions were made:
𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦
● Creation of the Ruminants Breeding Development Agency and approval of its statutes ;
● Transmission to the National Assembly, for examination and vote, of the draft law on the environment in the Republic of Benin ;
● Adoption of enforcement texts of the law carrying the Digital Code in the Republic of Benin ;
● Adoption of the decrees relating to the institutional framework of Sèmè City and the implementation of its restructuring ;
● Creation of the Poultry Farms Development Society and adoption of its statutes ;
● Integration of eighty (80) audit magistrates into the judiciary ;
● Appointment of auditors to certain public companies ;
● Procedures for obtaining Beninese nationality by recognition.
𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦
● Technical control missions for two projects of the Government Action Program
● Approval of the National Strategy for Promotion and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises 2025-2029 ;
● Reconstruction works of the René Pleven stadium
● Complete project management mission in the framework of the construction project of the Training School in Paramedical Sciences in Benin ;
● Measure to prohibit public technical services from offering fee-based phytosanitary services.
