In a public statement, the political figure urged the President of the Republic, Patrice Talon, to take the necessary measures to ease tensions and to put the country sustainably back on the path of balanced development.

According to him, only a coordinated approach can reconcile democracy, infrastructural progress, shared prosperity and institutional stability. In this perspective, Daniel Edah also calls on the political parties UP-R, Bloc républicain and Les Démocrates, as well as the Cour constitutionnelle and the Commission électorale nationale autonome (CENA), to support any presidential initiative aimed at dialogue, in a republican spirit and in the supreme interest of the Nation.

In a context he describes as crucial for the country’s future, Daniel Edah also calls on the entire political class, opinion leaders, influencers and social media actors to act responsibly. He invites them to show restraint, discernment and responsibility in their public statements.

Beyond political divides, he further reminds that Benin remains a common good, whose preservation and development must take precedence over partisan considerations.

It should be noted that during a recent summit, the CEDEAO parliament urged Beninese authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure inclusive, transparent and peaceful elections, a guarantee of national cohesion through a political dialogue extended to all actors.
