The president of the movement “Nous le ferons” urges these parliamentarians to put their sense of duty and their attachment to the Republic at the service of preserving Beninese democracy.

He invites them to renounce any participation in a revision of the Constitution which, according to him, “would pave the way for the return of political monolithism and authoritarianism.”

“The people expect from you a stance of republican resurgence. President Boni Yayi will listen to you, will understand the deep reasons for your resignations and will give you renewed consideration,” writes Daniel Edah, calling for internal reconciliation within the opposition.

This appeal comes in a particularly sensitive political context, marked by the proposed constitutional revision introduced by Aké Natondé and Assan Séïbou, supported by the presidential majority.

For Daniel Edah, the responsibility of the resigning deputies is now historic: that of preserving the democratic balance and avoiding any institutional drift on the eve of the 2026 elections.
