Benin: ADEJ’s insolvent debtors in the crosshairs of the AJE
The State Judicial Agency (AJE), under the authority of the Presidency of the Republic of Benin, published a statement on June 12, 2025, giving notice to the debtors of the Agency for the Development of Youth Entrepreneurship (ADEJ). These individuals are called upon to regularize their financial situation no later than Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The AJE is addressing both individuals and legal entities who have benefited from the support of the ADEJ and remain liable. The amounts owed must be paid into the Public Treasury account, which is referenced as: BJ6600100100000104760774, titled “Recovery of claims after liquidations”.
After the given deadline, the Beninese state indicates that it will initiate, without further notice, the forced recovery procedures provided by current legislation. These steps will include not only the repayment of the capital due, but also recovery fees and legal interest, borne exclusively by the debtors.
With a view towards transparency and follow-up, the State Judicial Agent invites those concerned to submit proof of the payment made. This proof can be dropped off at the administrative secretariat of the AJE, located at the Public Treasury, at regional branches, or sent by email to the following address: [email protected].
The AJE concludes its statement hoping for a prompt response from debtors, in the interest of an amicable settlement before the deadline.
