Benin Army redeploys 342 soldiers
The Beninese Army has announced a wide redeployment affecting 342 soldiers across several units and ranks.

A reshuffle has been announced within the Beninese Army. By a recent decision, the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Abou Issa, has redeployed 342 soldiers.
Through service note No. 26-03-3023/EMAT/DRH/BEGP/SCH/SEC/SA, signed on August 24, 2026 by Army Headquarters, hundreds of soldiers have been reassigned to different units. These new postings affect various ranks and units within the Beninese Armed Forces. The military hierarchy says the move is driven by urgent service requirements and the need to streamline personnel and improve operational effectiveness in the field.
The measures cover the entire hierarchy of non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, from warrant officers to second-class soldiers and corporals. While most transfers are recorded as new assignments, several decisions specify a reassignment as a regularization measure to adjust administrative and operational positions on the ground.
The full list published by the Army headquarters affects multiple battalions and specialized units.
