Tottenham manager Thomas Frank heaped praise on Vitinha after the Spurs’ spectacular 5-3 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night. For the Danish coach, PSG’s Portuguese midfielder is nothing less than the future Ballon d’Or winner.

With a brilliant hat-trick, Vitinha was the main architect of PSG’s victory. A commanding performance that prompted Frank’s admiring comments to TNT Sports Football : « The way Vitinha finds the top corner in that situation… it’s extremely difficult. Then, goals three and four, you can’t concede those if you want to hope to win here », he lamented, before concluding : « Vitinha is, in my opinion, the best midfielder in the world. To me, he will be the next Ballon d’Or. »

Already impressive last season, the PSG player was one of Luis Enrique’s key men in winning four trophies, including the Champions League and the Ligue 1 title.
