Real Madrid: Vinícius apologizes after his outburst during the Clásico
Substituted in the 72nd minute of the clash against FC Barcelona, Real Madrid’s Brazilian winger acknowledged he reacted poorly. In a message posted on X, Vinícius Júnior apologized to his teammates, to president Florentino Pérez and to the Merengue supporters.

Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior publicly apologized to the Merengue supporters after his reaction—deemed excessive—when he was substituted during the 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona last weekend.
In a message posted Wednesday on X, the Brazilian international admitted he went too far after being taken off in the 72nd minute. Visibly frustrated, the 25-year-old had shown his anger toward the Madrid bench before heading straight to the dressing room.
“Today, I want to apologize to all Real Madrid supporters for my reaction after my substitution in the Clásico, wrote Vinícius. “Just as I did in person at training, I want to renew my apologies to my teammates, to the club and to president Florentino Pérez.”
The Brazilian insisted that his gesture was driven more by passion than insubordination: “Sometimes my passion gets the better of me. I always want to win and help my team. My competitive spirit comes from the love I have for this club and everything it stands for.”
