2026 presidential election: the BUS wave sweeps through Godomey for Wadagni’s coronation
In the 2026 presidential race, the BUS platform intensified on Tuesday its tour in Godomey to carry high the colors of the Wadagni-Talata duo. Across five sites visited, the populations displayed overwhelming enthusiasm for the social project “Moving forward, together,” ready to walk together toward victory and to inaugurate next Sunday a new era for Benin.

On Tuesday, the caravan “the BUS on the move” continued its tour in the municipality of Godomey, multiplying points of contact with the populations. From Gbègnigan to Fignonhou, via Xwlacomè, Dèkoungbé and Kanglouè, the campaign teams criss-crossed five sites, as close to the residents as possible.

At each stop, the welcome was warm. Curious locals and supporters gathered to exchange, listen, and learn more about the project carried by the candidate Romuald Wadagni, anchored around the slogan “Moving forward, together.” A phrase that, on the ground, seems to resonate with a portion of the electorate.

Among the supporters, optimism is the order of the day. The militants speak of a “new era” within reach and show their determination to accompany the Wadagni–Talata duo through to the election. “Go all the way to the station” — the expression returns as a rallying cry, a symbol of a shared objective to be achieved by Sunday’s vote. As the decisive moment approaches, this field campaign illustrates the tandem’s will to consolidate its popular base. In a presidential race where every vote will count, the local outreach battle could well make the difference.
