A large-scale pursuit operation has been deployed, utilizing air and ground forces to hunt down those responsible for the assault. “During these intense clashes, 12 of our soldiers gave their lives defending the nation, honor, and freedom,” the army stated in a communiqué.

Meanwhile, Nigerien authorities extended their condolences to the families of the victims, praising the “courage, professionalism, and determination” of the defense and security forces. They also emphasized that the military continues to carry out its mission with honor and patriotism in the face of a ruthless enemy.
