An icon of FC Barcelona for more than fifteen years, Lionel Messi reflected on the most memorable moments of his career in Catalonia. Interviewed by Sport, the current Inter Miami player said he has two particularly dear memories: the historic sextuple won under Pep Guardiola and the last Champions League won with Luis Enrique.

“It’s hard to pick just one. I’ve been lucky to experience so many moments of happiness,” explained the seven-time Ballon d’Or. “When you think of happy memories, you mainly think of titles, successes… The first group with Guardiola was exceptional, and the last Champions League with Luis Enrique was also special.

Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, Barça put together a legendary 2009 season, winning six major trophies: the Champions League, La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. With Luis Enrique, in 2015, the Blaugranas clinched another Champions League, sealing the end of a golden era. Unforgettable memories for Messi, who remains forever one of the symbols of the Catalan club.
