Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior is reportedly seriously considering leaving the Merengue club after another episode of tension that occurred on Sunday during the 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Substituted late in the match by Xabi Alonso, the Brazilian lost his temper as he returned to the bench. According to Goal, the 25-year-old reportedly told his coach: “Always me!” before adding, visibly at the end of his tether: “I’m leaving the team. It’s better if I go.”
Vinicius then reportedly rushed down the tunnel to the dressing rooms before reappearing a few minutes later. The evening ended on a tense note: the Brazilian international was reportedly involved in an altercation after the final whistle, notably clashing with Barça’s young prodigy Lamine Yamal, who was at the center of the most heated exchanges.
