Brazil: Oscar hospitalized in São Paulo after suffering a fainting spell during training
Former Brazil international Oscar, an ex-Chelsea player, suffered a medical episode during training with São Paulo and was hospitalized for cardiac tests.

Former Brazilian Chelsea midfielder Oscar was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after collapsing during a training session with São Paulo. According to reports from the Daily Metro, the 34-year-old player is now considering ending his career.
The episode occurred at the São Paulo club’s training center, while the attacking midfielder was undergoing pre-season medical tests. Overcome by sudden dizziness, he reportedly collapsed and then lost consciousness for nearly two minutes. Quickly treated by the medical staff, Oscar was taken to the Albert Einstein Israelite hospital, where he is currently being monitored for suspected heart problems. His condition is considered stable, but he remains under observation to undergo further examinations.
Married to Ludmila, who is expecting their third child, Oscar is the father of an 11-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. The former Brazil international, who notably played for Chelsea and Shanghai Port, could therefore see his career cut short earlier than expected.
