Benin – 2026 general elections: Beninese in the diaspora can change their polling centers on eservices.anip.bj
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new phase in enrolling Beninese citizens in the diaspora ahead of the 2026 general elections. Citizens living abroad can now check or change their polling centers via ANIP’s online platform.

With the 2026 general elections on the horizon, the Beninese government is strengthening its efforts to include citizens living abroad. For the past few weeks, members of the diaspora have been invited to confirm or change their polling centers in order to take part in the vote.
The process is streamlined through the eservices.anip.bj platform, where you just need to click on the “Polling Center” section and enter your Personal Identification Number (NPI). If you need to make a change, a consular registration number is required. Those who don’t have one yet can obtain it online via the service-public.bj portal by typing “diaspora” in the search bar and following the steps provided.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with embassies and consulates, has also reminded Beninese citizens abroad of the importance of enrolling in RAVIP. Since August 5, they have been urged to complete this formality no later than September 28, 2025. Diplomatic missions or any other locations designated by the authorities serve as enrollment points.
With this system in place, the government aims to ensure the full participation of Beninese citizens in the diaspora in the upcoming elections.
