Alex Iwobi describes Victor Osimhen’s ‘extreme’ mentality.
In a frank, no-holds-barred testimony, Alex Iwobi highlights Victor Osimhen’s intense competitive spirit, willing to do anything to win, sometimes pushing the limits.

Fulham’s attacking midfielder, Alex Iwobi, spoke about the extraordinary mentality of his national team teammate Victor Osimhen, describing a competitive spirit pushed to the extreme. Invited to the podcast Best Mode On, the Nigerian international described a player willing to do anything to assert himself, sometimes at the limit. In training, he constantly puts himself in danger, whether with his head or his leg. He has always been a fighter., he explained.
For Iwobi, this constant intensity largely explains Osimhen’s progression, now considered one of the world’s best forwards. Some will say he lacks finesse or that he’s rough, but he creates a lot of chances thanks to his work and his runs. The former Arsenal player also stresses his compatriot’s unwavering determination: No matter the opponent, whether it’s Virgil van Dijk or an amateur player, he approaches every match with the same intensity. Iwobi doesn’t hesitate, however, to point out the excesses of this mentality: He always wants to win, sometimes to an excessive degree. In training, he can go too far, even to cheating to assert himself. An unfiltered portrait of a relentless competitor, whose mindset divides as much as it impresses.
