The head of Maybach Music Group explained that his dream project would bring together the Jamaican reggae legend Bob Marley, the Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, and Nigerian star Burna Boy.
Asked during a live interview, the American artist stated that such a musical gathering would simply be historic. “If I had to dream of a collaboration today, it would be with Rick Ross, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti and Burna Boy. Imagine such a record. For me, it would be something unprecedented. It would be the summit.”, he confided.
The rapper also admitted that he would like to add to this project the Nigerian-British singer Sade Adu, an iconic figure in soul and jazz. “I am the boss, but I’m not sure I could convince Sade to collaborate with me. I’ll add her to my wishlist. I love Sade. Respect to the queen.”, he added.
