Injured in the ankle last week against Arsenal, Kylian Mbappé will miss Real Madrid’s La Liga trip to Getafe this Wednesday, manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed.

What had been expected for several days is now official: Kylian Mbappé has been ruled out of Wednesday’s league match against Getafe. The French striker has not yet recovered from the ankle injury he sustained last week during the match against Arsenal. The news was confirmed on Tuesday by Carlo Ancelotti during a press conference.

“They (Kylian Mbappé and Ferland Mendy) are not ready for tomorrow, but they’ll train over the next few days and I believe they’ll both be available for Saturday’s match (the Copa del Rey final against Barça). He (Mbappé) is disappointed because he can’t help the team. He’s doing everything he can to be ready for Saturday,” Ancelotti said.
