Manchester United have identified a replacement for André Onana, whose performances in goal have been increasingly underwhelming. The Red Devils have set their sights on FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

Onana has committed several costly errors in recent months, including one against Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League, and is no longer seen as the undisputed No.1 at Old Trafford. The Cameroonian was even replaced by Bayindir during the Premier League match against Newcastle. According to his coach, Ruben Amorim, Onana will now have to share his position — and the club may already have his successor lined up.

According to Footmercato, Manchester United are targeting FC Porto’s Diogo Costa. A key figure in the Portuguese club’s strong season, the Portuguese international is highly regarded by the Manchester side, who have already started working on a potential transfer. Costa, under contract with Porto until 2027, is also reportedly on Manchester City’s radar. The Sky Blues are said to be ready to pay €58 million to sign the promising shot-stopper.
