Inter Miami: Lionel Messi dreams of returning to Barça
Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham said that Lionel Messi is considering settling near the Camp Nou once his career is over, despite his attachment to Miami.

David Beckham, Inter Miami co-owner, shared the end-of-career plans mentioned by Lionel Messi. While the Argentine’s contract runs until 2028 and he has just led the Florida club to victory in the MLS Cup, the English icon recounted what his captain had recently told him.
According to Beckham, Messi — who could end his career after the 2026 World Cup — still feels a deep attachment to Barcelona : “I’d like Messi to settle in Miami after his retirement. But Leo told me he mainly thinks about living near the Camp Nou“, said the former midfielder, quoted by Marca.
Beckham highlighted the 38-year-old’s unwavering love for Barça : “ No player loves Barça as much as he does. He has the club crest tattooed on his leg… even his water bottle is decorated with it. ” Arrived in Miami in 2023 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Messi has never hidden the special place Catalonia holds in his life.
