Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is working behind the scenes to try to influence Casemiro’s future. According to Marca, the Portuguese striker wants to persuade the Brazilian midfielder to prioritise a departure to Saudi Arabia, rather than an MLS adventure with Inter Miami. At the end of his stint at Manchester United, Casemiro would already have decided to leave at the end of the season. The Manchester United executives do not plan to extend his contract, eager to ease a payroll burden boosted by a salary estimated at £375,000 per week.
In this context, Inter Miami is pressing hard to lure the former Real Madrid player, with the prospect of pairing him with Lionel Messi. But Cristiano Ronaldo sees things differently. The five-time Ballon d’Or would consider Casemiro a key piece to strengthen Al-Nassr’s midfield and fuel the Saudi club’s ambitions on the national and continental stages.
