Cotonou: the TPI denounces a fake memo calling for donations
A call for financial contributions attributed to Fernande Hounsou, presented as a social worker and head of the social services of the First Class Court of First Instance of Cotonou, has been circulating on social media for the past few hours.
The document, circulated on a fake letterhead clumsily imitating that of the court, did not receive any official authorization.
In a statement, the court firmly rejects this initiative, which it describes as illegal and contrary to the statutory obligations and ethical rules to which its staff are subject.
The court states that this publication cannot under any circumstances be considered an act issued by the institution.
The judicial administration urges citizens to be vigilant and reminds them that any official communication from the court is strictly governed, approved and disseminated through authorized channels.
