President Patrice Talon is inviting deputies of the presidential movement to a strategic meeting at the Palais de la Marina, reports Le Potentiel.

According to the outlet, elected members of Bloc Républicain (BR) will be received at 7 p.m., while those of Union Progressiste le Renouveau (UP-R) will be welcomed at 9 p.m.

This closed-door meeting comes as part of the constitutional revision process, whose report from the Commission on Laws was approved on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the National Assembly.

The next step, scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, will involve examining the admissibility of the text before a possible vote to adopt it.

According to reports, the presidential meeting aims to strengthen cohesion within the parliamentary majority and to harmonize the political reading of the reform project. Patrice Talon is expected, according to sources, to set out the foundations of his vision and clarify the executive’s expectations in steering the process.

This meeting between the head of state and his parliamentary supporters could set the tone for upcoming debates and, in many ways, influence the country’s political trajectory in the weeks ahead.
