Ten years after his first dismissal from Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti could once again be shown the door at the end of the season. Reports from the Spanish press suggest that this outcome is becoming increasingly likely.

Weakened by his team’s recent results — eliminated from the Champions League and defeated by Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final — Carlo Ancelotti is set to leave Real Madrid once the season concludes.

What had been mere rumors just days ago now seems almost inevitable, especially after the Merengues’ third defeat against their great Catalan rivals. Although Real Madrid could still salvage their season by winning La Liga, the Italian manager’s fate appears to be sealed.

According to information from Relevo, the Casa Blanca plans to part ways with the 65-year-old coach by offering him a generous exit package. The club intends to allow Ancelotti to leave with dignity: Florentino Pérez is reportedly prepared to pay the final year of his contract (around €11 million) and offer him a lifetime role as a Real Madrid ambassador. It remains to be seen whether Ancelotti will accept what many are calling a disguised dismissal.
