Land Affairs Tribunal: Extension to Kpomassè Municipality

- Publicité-

Kpomassè has officially been designated as one of the qualified municipalities to host the Special Land Affairs Court.

The National Assembly recently approved an amendment to existing legislation that establishes a special court for land disputes. The decision was made during the plenary session on Tuesday, April 30th. With this amendment, the municipality of Kpomassè joins the list of municipalities, which already includes Abomey-Calavi, Allada, Cotonou, Ouidah, Porto-Novo, Sèmè-Podji, and Tori-Bossito, that benefit from this special jurisdiction.

The report from the Law Commission indicates that this legislative amendment aims to improve the efficiency of legal procedures in land matters. It also aims to increase transparency and strengthen public confidence in the judicial system.
